COMPANY
HISTORY
|
History Spring Resources Ltd was founded in 1991 by Roy Woolcock, a former
long-standing employee of Harris Waste Management Group, a US based world leader in the
supply of scrap metal processing equipment.
Formed as a spare parts, service and machinery
refurbishment operation, Spring Resources' early contracts included the procurement and
full refurbishment of a metal baling press for a client in South Africa, followed by
further substantial contracts both in the UK and overseas. rehvid
From its inception the company has been a distributor for
Seram equilibrated cranes, designed specifically for handling of scrap and other bulk
materials. These machines have been sold in the UK and in Japan, the Middle East and Far

Spring Resources' presence
in the recycling market place was enhanced in 1996 with the acquisition of the franchise
to sell a range of paper and board balers manufactured in the United States by Excel Manufacturing Co. This range was
quickly established in the UK as a high quality competitor to existing machines, and sales
have been facilitated by the products' high manufacturing quality and high output,
complemented by our total commitment to after sales service and support. We presently
stock in excess of £1/4M of spares for the Excel range and for the US Wire Tie strapper used by Excel, and our engineers have been
baler factory trained at Excel, US

1998 saw the acquisition of Metpro Machinery
Ltd, a company with a 30 year track record in the metal recycling business. Its machinery
ranges from heavy duty fragmentisers to ingot casting machines and tyre cutters and the
company has successfully installed machines around the world. The acquisition of Metpro has given Spring a strong manufacturing base in the
UK, an important factor in servicing the many and varied needs of its customers both
present and future.

Resources also has two important franchises. One to sell the World-leading
Imabe range of recycling and waste processing machinery and the other to
sell the Multitek range of wheel crushers and fuelwood processors. |

Spring Resources Today Spring Resources now has a total of 75 employees in
two key
locations:- Swindon and Bridgend, South Wales where Metpro is based on two
sites. These house Metpro's entire operation including sales, manufacturing, engineering
and spares support operations, with sufficient machinery and lifting capacity to cope with
even the largest processing equipment. The acquisition of Metpro and its incorporation
into Spring Resources Ltd as Metpro Resources augmented staff levels by some 26
personnel.
Our head office is located in Swindon and
houses the company's sales, service and finance departments together with spare parts and
machinery maintenance departments and a small machinery demonstration area adjacent to the UK's motorway network.
Some £2 Million worth of
spare parts are dispatched from Swindon annually.

Spring Resources has built an
enviable reputation and is now recognised throughout the industry as the leading source of
supply for equipment ranging from ingot casting machines and fragmentisers to paper balers
and cranes, with a service operation acknowledged as second-to-none. When sourcing processing and handling equipment or parts and
service, more companies, right across the recycling industry, are viewing Spring Resources
as 'preferred suppliers'.
